Blog #6
I think that Diigo is an excellent source that should be implemented in all forms of education. Regarding my personal experience using the tool, I thought it was easy to use. I enjoyed the fact that I was able to tag the subject of the article that I was bookmarking so that people know what they are going to use. I also like how simple the layout is so that I can see what articles my classmates bookmarked and have easy access to read them.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the process of blogging so far. Back in ninth grade, I took a similar class about digital literacy and my digital footprint. For that class, I was also tasked with creating a blog so it has been a relatively easy process getting back into it for EME2040. I like the leeway that I have with my blog is that I can make it colorful and add things like my Twitter and images as well. I have learned through blogging how to reflect on what topics we have spoken about in class and how to apply them in our future careers in education.
Web 2.0 describes how the internet is compromised of more user-generated tools and resources. One of these tools that I would most definitely like to implement in my future classroom is Prezi! Prezi is similar to Google Slides and PowerPoint as it can be used to make presentations. However, it differs from both of these because it puts an emphasis on creativity that I think can make presentations look unique and flow really well. I have used Prezi in both high school and college and I think it is a great resource for students in the rapidly improving digital world!
